    Один из старейших отелей города, Grand Hotel et de Milan издавна был и остается излюбленным местом европейской политической и деловой элиты, знаменитых композиторов и музыкантов, писателей и режиссеров. За время существования в отеле останавливались Рудольф Нуриев и Мария Каллас, Лукино Висконти и Эрнест Хемингуэй. Знаменитый композитор Джузеппе Верди провел в отеле многие годы, именно здесь, в сюите, носящем в наши дни имя Верди, были написаны его всемирно известные произведения. В 1991 году отель был вторично полностью реконструирован, при этом особое внимание было уделено сохранности произведений искусства, скульптурам и живописным полотнам.
