Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa 5*

My wife and I stayed at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel over 2 weeks in the end of July in 2017. It was our second time. The hotel is nice in generall and looks very Balinese. Staff is very polite, friendly and genuinely attentive. The cuisine of the restaurants and cafes located in the hotel area is quite satisfying.

However I have to point out to the following negative things I belive hotel managenent has to pay very close attention to:

- the sanitary ware in our room was very old and obviously had to be replaced (I had to fix toilet water tank mechanism very often since it was broken and did't keep the water in the tank, so it was leaking from time to time and staff failed to fix it)

- the light of the small magnifying mirror was broken and hotel electrician failed to fix it. It had been switching off every time after ~10 sec.

- rain shower was leaking from the top junction, small shower hose on the tub was leaking

- the toilet door-handle was broken

- we saw cockroaches 2 times during breakfast: the first time - huge one on the floor (ok it is the tropics, some wildlife on the floor happens), but the second time small cockroach got into the plate with crepes which we left on on the table while we went for coffee. It was disgusting when it started running circles when we came back :-(

- the chaises on the beach are quite awkward to use, and cannot be laid out horizontally 180

- Wi-Fi is the worst I have ever seen in the hotels pretending to be a 5 stars!!! It is sooooo unbelievably slow even for simple surfing!! I measured it with software app it gave me ~0.25 Mbit per sec on receiving!! To use internet with a normal speed we had to go and locate ourself closer to Westin hotel to use their internet instead.

- The open air dinner became worse since last year - food is not quite tasty and pleasant, which is sad and frenkly speaking was waste of money. So the better choice is to go to a local restaurant or bar to have dinner. Tamarind is very nice place I believe.

In a nutshell:

Hotel management has to start paying more attention to the renovation of the hotel rooms since lots of facilities and equipment getting older and older. This year they improved decoration coloring the statues, but they'd better spend all these money for killing cockroaches.
